Circular Economy and Closed-Loop Recycling

At our Kartepe facility, we redefine the concept of "waste" as "secondary raw material." All aluminum scrap generated during our production processes (Extrusion, CNC Machining, Press) is reintegrated into a 100% recovery cycle.

• Scrap Management & Recovery: Our process scrap (pre-consumer waste) is re-processed in our foundries and cast back into billets, re-entering the economic cycle. Utilizing recycled aluminum (secondary aluminum) instead of primary aluminum reduces energy consumption by up to 95%, significantly lowering embodied carbon.
• Zero Waste Target: Our commitment extends beyond metal. Packaging materials, industrial oils, and chemical wastes are meticulously segregated and disposed of through licensed recycling facilities, ensuring full environmental compliance.

Energy Efficiency and Low Carbon Footprint

Mertcan Metal continuously modernizes its technological infrastructure to minimize energy consumption per unit of production.

• Logistics Optimization (Vertical Integration): Consolidating all processes (Extrusion Press, Powder Coating, CNC, Packaging) under a single roof minimizes inter-facility transportation, thereby reducing logistics-related carbon emissions (Scope 3) to near-zero levels.
